We are absolutely delighted that we have found Mel to groom our beloved cockerpoo, Teddy! Mel does an absolutely amazing job every time she grooms Teddy, he comes home so beautifully soft and smells incredible for days afterwards. Not only is Mel excellent at what she does, she is so kind and patient towards the animals. Our dog is sometimes a little nervous around his paws but Mel has found different ways to accommodate him and showers him with love. We wouldn’t ever consider taking Teddy anywhere else and would give Mel the highest recommendation.

From the first time we met Mel we knew that our nervous rough collie was in good hands. The care and attention to detail in the way she deals with Kiri is first class and the results are amazing. We get so many comments on her coat which is due to the skill and quality of the grooming she receives from Mel.

I couldn’t recommend Mel enough; with her loving care and excellent grooming skills, I wouldn’t trust anybody else with my dog! My 9 year old shih-poo, Riley, was terrified of being groomed until Paws a While came to Nantwich. He instantly bonded with Mel through her patience and kindness. Now, as an 11 year old dog, he is happy to greet Mel and be groomed. Riley is happiest at Paws a While than any other groomer, through Mel taking the time to make him feel content and get to know him. She really cares about Riley’s health and wellbeing, listens carefully and offers valuable advice. I completely trust her and wouldn’t go to anyone else for grooming. Mel uses high-quality, natural products and Riley comes out looking so healthy and happy. Every single groom is perfect and my dog receives endless compliments – I absolutely recommend Mel for every pet owner!

  Beautiful setting right in the middle of the cocoa yard. Welcoming, organised, informative staff. A very friendly efficient establishment. A wonderful job made of my British Shorthair Norman. He was at ease throughout despite being surrounded by dogs.

  I’ve have been taking my cat to Mel now for a year, and what an amazing job she does.
My cat is a Ragdoll, so very fluffy and prone to matting but Mel always does such a great job tidying her up, trimming her to perfection.
Mel is super friendly and accommodating and I can tell she just loves animals.
I won’t be taking my cat anywhere else now.

  Thank you Mel from me and Chad, what a wonderful groom my cat had.
Chad is a long haired cat prone to matting.  He now looks like a very handsome puddy cat, and so much better without his matting.  Mel was super knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful.  We will be back 🐈‍⬛💙

  As a pet parent, trusting someone else with your fur baby is never easy — especially when they’re shy and sensitive like mine. I brought my 4-year-old, 18lb Siberian cat to Mel for her first-ever grooming appointment, and I was honestly so nervous. But Mel was incredible — she took the time to understand my cat’s history and treated her with such patience, care, and affection. It truly felt like leaving my child in the hands of someone who genuinely cared. I couldn't be more grateful and highly recommend Mel to any fellow pet parents out there.

I always have an amazing experience with Mel! Always kind, professional, and truly passionate about her work. My dogs always look absolutely adorable after the grooming session—clean, well-trimmed, and smelling great!😊

Mel takes time to listen to my requests, She is gentle and patient, making sure my dogs are feeling comfortable.

You can tell that Mel genuinely cares about animals and goes above and beyond to ensure they have a positive experience. I highly recommend Mel to anyone looking for a skilled and caring groomer!

  We have been taking our Sproodle Alfie to Paws a While in Nantwich for over two years and he always comes home looking very handsome and smelling gorgeous!  Although Alfie has always been really anxious at the groomers, Mel is absolutely brilliant with him and the whole grooming experience is now far less stressful.  I have no hesitation in recommending Mel, even if you have a dog as anxious as Alfie!

  I cannot recommend Paws-A-While Pet Grooming enough! Mel was absolutely fantastic with our two kittens, Sagan and Eden. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly professional, patient, and gentle, ensuring both kittens felt comfortable and at ease.

Clipping a kitten's claws can be a challenge, but Mel’s method was so calming and reassuring that Sagan and Eden barely noticed! Her expertise and care truly made the experience stress-free for both our kittens and us.
